
Jim McWethy (Co-Owner)
Jim owned and operated Le Ski Hut and later Sports Hut in Wayzata from 1972 to 2005; in 1996 he changed the name to Sports Hut to better reflect the ever-growing product mix, which included hockey, bike, and snowboard gear. He owned Skijammers and Boardjammers Ski and Snowboard Schools from 1972 to 1993, and was associated with SkiAway womens ski school for ten years. He sold the Sports Hut in 2005; Sports Hut moved to Plymouth, MN, in spring 2010.
Jim has been active in numerous Lake Minnetonka area community activities, including IOCP Holiday Outreach Program chairman and Wayzata Chamber of Commerce president.He loves skiing, both alpine and cross country, tennis, BWCA canoeing, biking, hiking, and practically any outdoor activity you can think of.

Robin McWethy (Co-Owner)
Robin has worked in the retail sporting goods industry for over thirty years, with experience in a wide variety of responsibilities including sales, bookkeeping, clothing department and store manager, and clothing buyer. She has developed and maintained numerous contacts and friends in the active and outdoor clothing business, including both sales reps and manufacturers.
She loves the person-to-person contact involved in the outdoor retail trade,and truly enjoys working with customers, outfitting women, men and kids to help them enjoy the outdoors as much as she does. Robin keeps active in our local community, currently working with a committee striving to find ways to help local citizens increase their participation and enjoyment of our parks, lakes, and outdoor environment.
Robin enjoys spending time with friends and grandkids, and beloved yellow lab Niko. She gravitates toward any activity involving water or snow—swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and camping in the summer; alpine and cross country skiing, snowshoeing in the winter, and tennis year-round.

Sharon
Sharon has worked in the Ski industry for 32 years, working at Alpine Ski Shop in 1979 and from there to Le Ski Hut/Sports Hut in Wayzata for 30 years. She has worked as a buyer,visual merchandiser, sales & fashion show coordinator. Married to husband John for 30 years, Sharon and has two grown children, Bobby & Hayley. Hobbies & interests include: downhill skiing, snowshoeing with her dog Tumbo, biking, hiking, running & golf. She also loves to travel, cook, entertain and spend time with family & friends.

Rhonda
Rhonda’s outdoor interests include boating, downhill, XC and water skiing, snowshoeing, biking, fishing and golf. Rhonda loves summers here in Minnesota and can be found on Lake Minnetonka as often as she can get on the water & boating or chasing her new favorite fish – the Muskie! Her professional ski experience includes coaching freestyle skiing at Buck Hill, children’s instruction at the old Snowcrest ski area, and she is currently a PSIA certified instructor for the Ski Away ladies ski program that is based here in the Twin Cities. Her ski adventures have taken her Helicopter and Snowcat skiing in BC and Alaska and she loves traveling to the many ski areas in the western states and Canada. Rhonda has also designed and manufactured her own ski clothing

Melissa
Melissa is happy to be working in the retail ski/sports industry again. Her favorite passion is skiing; she started racing as an adult and is on an all-womens race team. These days you can find her on the tennis court as well. Melissa loves the outdoors and is always up for an adventure. She has a son in school in Utah, and a daughter at Minnetonka High School.

Kim
Kim grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota where she learned to ski and gained a love for the outdoors. Kim and her husband Tom live in Carver; they have two daughters who attend Chanhassen High School. She ski races with an all womens team at Buck Hill in the winter, and enjoys hiking, biking, and golfing in the summer.

Ellen
Ellen grew up in Minnetonka, enjoying everything the seasons in Minnesota have to offer. She has a love for the outdoors and enjoys skiing, sailing, waterskiing, boating, biking, and golfing. Ellen is currently a PSIA certified ski instructor and teaches for Wings for Women. She also ski races on Defying Gravity, an all-womens race team at Buck Hill. Ellen and her husband, Doug, have three grown children who also share her passion for music and the outdoors.

Pam
A native Minnesotan, Pam lived in California for 15 years, she and her husband returned to Minnesota to raise their four children and slow down the pace of life. She loves everything Lake Minnetonka, is an avid exercise enthusiast and most recently discovered yoga. Her children are either working or in college and her two dogs miss her while she’s at work!!

Carol
Carol grew up in Iowa, went to college in Northfield MN, and she and her husband Curt have lived in the Wayzata/Minnetonka area ever since. Carol worked for many years in finance for two large Twin Cities corporations. After living abroad in England and Switzerland for 3 years they returned to raise their two daughters in Minnetonka. She loves to ski, attend barre class, read, and travel, and is happiest when her entire family is able to ski together put west.

Lori
Lori is a native of Minnesota and lives in Edina with her husband Mark; they have two grown children. Cabin time is a favorite family activity year round. Lori enjoys all activities outdoors including biking, skiing, gardening and golfing. Family and friend ski trips out West are the highlight of her year. An avid baseball and hockey fan, Lori also loves to decorate, travel, read and entertain family and friends.

Stella
Stella is our store rescue dog, mostly yellow lab we think, but exact mix, age, history unknown. We’ve been training her in as official greeter, and so far she’s been doing pretty good except when another dog walks by. She’s really very sweet, and we think we both lucked out.
