Jim McWethy (Co-Owner)

Niko & JimJim owned and operated Le Ski Hut and later Sports Hut in Wayzata from 1972 to 2005; in 1996 he changed the name to Sports Hut to better reflect the ever-growing product mix, which included hockey, bike, and snowboard gear. He owned Skijammers and Boardjammers Ski and Snowboard Schools from 1972 to 1993, and was associated with SkiAway womens ski school for ten years. He sold the Sports Hut in 2005; Sports Hut moved to Plymouth, MN, in spring 2010.
Jim has been active in numerous Lake Minnetonka area community activities, including IOCP Holiday Outreach Program chairman and Wayzata Chamber of Commerce president.He loves skiing, both alpine and cross country, tennis, BWCA canoeing, biking, hiking, and practically any outdoor activity you can think of.
